May 4, 2020 (Buffalo, NY) – Sentient Science, a Software as a Service provider of asset health prognostics using digital twins for rotating mechanical systems in aerospace, defense, energy and transportation markets , announces it was issued its 1st patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for DigitalClone technology applied to roller bearings. The DigitalClone platform uses digital twins to enable industrial customers to represent the health risk of assets throughout the asset life-cycle from system design through to real-world field operations. Sentient Science’s business model is to reduce failure rates of industrial equipment.

Remimazolam: (Moderate) Concomitant use of skeletal muscle relaxants with benzodiazepines can result in additive CNS depression. For seniors or people with reduced kidney function, the starting dose is 48 mg once daily with or without food. The product uses an ion exchange resin to achieve extended release of the amphetamine base Levitra pills. IM: Acetate, Succinate: Avoid injection into the deltoid muscle due to a high incidence of subcutaneous atrophy.

The technology was invented in the military aviation sector with large R&D grants from the U.S. government agencies including DARPA, NSF, DoD and DoE. The technology has been validated with a dataset from NASA and was granted awards from the White House and Bloomberg for decoding the material genome and for digitalizing the wind industry to extend the life and lower costs of wind assets. Sentient patent approval comes at a time when claims from over 1,000 software and similar patents were denied over the 5-year period since the U.S Supreme court Alice Ruling that rendered software and pure mathematical algorithms as effectively not patentable. DigitalClone is the “Exception to the Rule”.

Stephane Attal, CEO at Sentient Science, said “I’m proud of the brilliant team at Sentient Science. Our customers and investors helped us tremendously in receiving the patent and prove this unique technology is a game changer for lowering the cost of operations and improving machine life.“

The patent number, 10,474,772 – A Method and System for Predicting Surface Contact Fatigue Life of a Bearing in a Wind Turbine Generating Electricity, covers the technical approach in the DigitalClone software suite. The patent was filed by Dr. Nathan Bolander, Chief Scientist & VP Applied Technology, Sentient Science, Dr. Behrooz Jalalahmadi VP, Life Extension Solutions & Additive Manufacturing, Sentient Science and Dr. Raja Pulikollu, former Chief Materials Scientist at Sentient Science. Under Sentient’s patent strategy, the company will file additional patents for other subcomponents and systems across multiple industries. The technology was commercialized in 2013, after 10 years of R&D and a series of technical and commercial validations with partners such as the DoD, DoE, NASA. DigitalClone is now used by operators and OEMs in renewables, aviation and transportation markets globally.

Dr. Nathan Bolander, CTO, stated “I would like to thank the team at Sentient for all of the hard work that has made this patent possible. I’m proud to be a part of such an amazing group of talented engineers as we continue to develop our DigitalClone technology. This patent will help us protect our core IP as we continue to productize and commercialize our DigitalClone platform.”

About SENTIENT SCIENCE:
Sentient Science Corporation is a Software as a Service provider of the cloud based DigitalClone® platform for the aerospace, defense, energy and transportation markets. The DigitalClone platform uses digital twins to enable industrial customers to represent the health risk of assets throughout the asset life-cycle from system design through to real-world field operations. These digital twins incorporating physics, material science and machine learning, allow capabilities such as detailed multi-body dynamics systems simulations under real-life operating conditions for fleet level analysis, as well as model-based predictions of current health for individual fielded assets.

Sentient Science has been recognized by the White House in 2014 with the Tibbetts Award, Bloomberg New Energy Finance Pioneers Award in 2016 and Frost & Sullivan with the New Product Innovation Award in Wind Prognostics in 2017.

DigitalClone has 3 Product Offerings:
DC-E DigitalClone for Engineering: DC-E is a multi-body dynamics simulation software that uses physics-based models to make fleet-level statistical life predictions of drive train components. It is the world’s only integrated solution from system modeling to bearing and gear detailed analysis to simulation-based component life prediction. No other solution incorporates microstructure-based life predictions.

DC-OM DigitalClone for Wind Operations & Maintenance: DC-OM is a cloud-based SaaS offering that provides model-based predictions of current health for individual wind turbines based on asset configuration, operational data and ambient conditions. Current prediction capability includes gearboxes and main bearings across a variety of OEMs.

DC-RM DigitalClone for Rail Operations & Maintenance:DC-RM is a new product category of “Precise Maintenance” tools to enable railroads to determine their best rail depreciation and maintenance scenarios, including grinding, rail profiling, load allocation etc. DC-RM life extension simulator enables railroads to make data-based budgeting decisions.
